This research was done in lapai of Niger state about Career Opportunity for Adult Education Graduate in Selected local government of Niger state.
Statement of the Problem
Nigeria’s population is said to have reached about 167 million people in 2012(National Bureau of Statistics). The National Population Commission (NPoC,2013) states about half of the population is made up of youth, defined as individuals between 15 and 34 years of age. Unfortunately, as the youth population grows, so does the unemployment rate. In fact, unemployed youth numbered about 11.1 million in 2012. Here we explore a number of trends in youth unemployment in Nigeria and discuss various government programs attempting to address the problem.The nature of career opportunity for adult education graduates in Niger state, case study of Ibrahim Badamasi Babangida University Lapai, Department of continuing education and community development, remain highly deplorable many adult education graduates are unemployed due to lack of job creation by the government and private organizations in Nigeria. Government should made a provisions for job opportunity in order to reduce unemployment in the country at large.

- To examine into different kinds of job opportunities available for adult education graduates in Niger state.
- To determine the level to which these graduates have occupied jobs in the areas of their training and how well they trained in Niger state.
- To determine the level to which the employers of labour know the purpose and programme content of adult education in Niger state.
Scope and Delimitation of the Study
This study will cover career opportunity for adult education graduates as a whole but the scope of the work is restricted to Ibrahim Badamasi Babangida university lapai, Department of continuing education and community development. Due to less time and financial issues.
